EXHIBIT - Fusion: Interpretations of Abstraction; Installation I: HOT

Get ready for an exciting new exhibition series exploring abstract work by four relevant Pacific Northwest painters! This remarkable exhibit, explores the moods, color palettes, and interpretive elements associated with summer and winter - two polar opposite seasons, through the lens of the abstractionist artist.

The show seeks to synthesize the regularly patterned juxtapositions found in long days paired with short nights and short days paired with long nights, with abstracted prinnciples that are anything but conventional!

Divided purposefully into two separate installations, HOT FUSION is the first installment of the series, and will focus on expressions of summer, with all its warmth and vibrant color. The second installment, titled COLD FUSION is scheduled to open November 4 and run through January 28, 2012.

To complement the two-part exhibition centered on paintings specifically, the gallery will conduct a series of abstract art lectures offering historical and modern contemporary perspectives on the topic.

EXHIBIT - Driven to Abstraction

Join us for the last Summer Art Walk of the season in downtown Issaquah.

This fabulous show features the works of 17 respected Washington visual artists in companion with guest Seattle artists Rock/Dement, whose unique interpretation of how 'QR Codes' can be used to intertwine art and technology is sure to enthrall!

QR Codes are an up and coming technology featuring a square bar code, that when scanned by a smart phone at various venues on the art walk, can lead viewers to another dimension of interaction and information about particular art pieces. So take a stroll through Issaquah's historic district, featuring interesting shops and galleries, and uncover a few surprises!

The Up Front Gallery will be hosting a wine tasting that evening to put you in the mood; all are invited to the Artist Reception scheduled opening night from 6 to 8pm.

Visit Art EAST Center/Up Front Gallery for detailed information about this event.
