EXHIBIT - Fusion: Interpretations of Abstraction; Installation I: HOT
Get ready for an exciting new exhibition series exploring abstract work by four relevant Pacific Northwest painters! This remarkable exhibit, explores the moods, color palettes, and interpretive elements associated with summer and winter - two polar opposite seasons, through the lens of the abstractionist artist.
The show seeks to synthesize the regularly patterned juxtapositions found in long days paired with short nights and short days paired with long nights, with abstracted prinnciples that are anything but conventional!
Divided purposefully into two separate installations, HOT FUSION is the first installment of the series, and will focus on expressions of summer, with all its warmth and vibrant color. The second installment, titled COLD FUSION is scheduled to open November 4 and run through January 28, 2012.
To complement the two-part exhibition centered on paintings specifically, the gallery will conduct a series of abstract art lectures offering historical and modern contemporary perspectives on the topic.
