Start the holidays off in the historic district at my favorite Fairhaven restaurant - and double your pleasure! Beginning Thanksgiving weekend, clients can take added delight in a rotating display of my work to compliment the fine wines and sinfully delicious Tapas-style culinary delights on the menu!
This wonderful event profiles a plethora of retail businesses and eateries throughout Fairhaven, many of which offer special promotions and other community offerings in honor of the occasion. Festive with thousands of twinkling lights throughout, and candles left burning outside each participating venue on the sidewalk, the annual Fairhaven Holiday Walk About is a charming, good Yule experience! This isn't something you want to miss!
Twenty eight of my paintings will be on display and for sale at Flats, as part of the celebration, and then going forward through 2011.
Stop in to sample delectable wine and tapas dish pairings on the menu, and meet my friend, Jennifer - beguiling owner, accomplished chef, and enchanting hostess "with the mostest! " (You won't ever want to leave!) Flats recently added new menus for dessert, lunch, Happiest Hours (3-6pm), wine, along with new seasonal dinner menu items, to tantalize the palette! So if an extraordinary sense of ease and intimacy grabs you, and you value creativity and the warmth of genuine hospitality, this exceptional place will knock your socks off! Downtown Bellingham Art Walk

December's Art Walk promises to be a doubly good time for all you patrons of the arts! This month resumes the pairing of visual art on display at The Amadeus Project, (TAP), with the intrigue of live music! Tonight's event continues the celebration of my gallery show, titled 'Becoming' - a very personal show, exploring existential ideas that have risen to the forefront for me, during this incredible year of change and growth.
The evening will include intermittent talks by the artist, (me) who will share with you details about my new work - thoughts, methods, (and even perhaps alittle madness) that went into creating each new composition.
Once again, we have a wonderful musical pairing picked out for the occasion - contemporary jazz and holiday music favorites, skillfully delivered by William Friedsen and Friends! Adding to the thrill is the pleasure of having Greg Potter as our guest vocalist for the evening!
Performance is scheduled between 7pm and 9pm, so block the time out now - you won't want to miss even one riveting moment of it! The event is FREE and open to all ages - Doors open at 6pm!
In your foot travels around Bellingham during the Art Walk, be sure to stop in at The Blue Horse Gallery, and also the UFO Studio Gallery to see more of my work on display! I'm pleased to be a part of two wonderful new December art exhibits, one at each venue; 'New Perspectives' and 'Hard Times - Then and Now', a joint exhibit with the Whatcom Museum, in honor of the current Smithsonian Exhibit, now on display locally. Both shows run through December 31st, and include collective works by some of Bellingham's most renowned and talented artists!
