New Gallery Partnership

Fairhaven Originals Gallery (FOG)

It gives me great pleasure to announce that I've signed with the Fairhaven Originals Gallery, (FOG), who will exclusively represent my work, north of Seattle, beginning March 2011! I'm extremely pleased and honored to join such an impressive roster of extraordinary multi-media artists at FOG, and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship.

Fairhaven Originals Gallery is a contemporary new gallery in the historic district of Fairhaven.  Extensively remodeled, this new fine art gallery space offers high ceilings, natural light and warm tones ideal for displaying fine art.

The gallery interior takes advantage of the Fairhaven District’s early-1900’s theme by utilizing natural elements and colors throughout. I'm thoroughly impressed by the tremendous attention to detail in the place, including an innovative LED gallery lighting system which simply makes artwork on display really POP! Beginning in early April, my work will begin appearing on display at the gallery, and I simply CAN'T WAIT to see the collective effect!

If you find yourself in Fairhaven, pop in and say hello to gallery curator, Caitlin McInnis - her warm smile and enthralling charm will make you feel instantly at home! But don't let a pretty face fool you - her extensive knowledge of art, art history and the art world at large will truly WOW you! So expect an interesting conversation - and don't be shy to ask about the wonderful artwork in the gallery! You'll be really glad you did!

Restaurant Partnership Ends

Flats Wine and Tapas Bar Closes

It's with a heavy heart that I announce that due to the unanticipated closing of Flats Wine and Tapas Bar, my work is no longer viewable at this lovely venue in historic Fairhaven.

Due to lagging sales and a difficult economy, owners Pat and Jennifer Branch were forced to close the restaurant on February 15th, 2011, thus ending our exclusive arrangement, in which my work was featured on display and for sale to patrons of the eaterie. Words simply can't describe how truly heartbroken I am for my good friends, Pat and Jen.

If you missed out on the experience of tapas-style cuisine at Flats, then indeed you missed a lot. The notions of good food and wine were elevated to a venerable new height of 'edible art', with Owner Jennifer Branch's inventive and interesting menu. A marriage involving the gastronomical artistry of Flats, paired with original artwork from my studio, seemed destined to suceed at one of Bellingham's most historic landmark buildings. But alas it was not to be for long, and thus ends the fairy tale story.

Patrons of the restaurant will surely miss the pleasures of such an enhanced dining experience. The wonderfully welcoming, warm staff, and the intimacy and elegance of te place. I hope you'll join me in wishing Pat and Jen Branch all the very best luck, going forward. Their contributions to the Fairhaven community have been sizable and noteworthy, and the disappearance of the Flats Wine and Tapas Bar leaves a hole in many hearts.

 New Fairhaven Partnership

Particulars Studio at Flats Wine and Tapas Bar

I'm pleased to announce that beginning Thanksgiving weekend, I now have a new venue partner in historic Fairhaven!.

Talk about an invitation I simply couldn't refuse! The opportunity to be the featured artist, going forward, at Flats Wine and Tapas Bar is like a dream come true! I feel every inch like Cinderella at the Ball.

If you've never experienced tapas-style cuisine, the hall mark of Spanish culinary art, then Flats will absolutely delight and enthrall you! Owner Jennifer Branch has taken the notions of good food and wine to the venerable heights of 'edible art', with an interesting, creative menu. Situated within one of Bellingham's most historic landmark buildings, the setting is an enchanting, intimate scene. But it's the staff at Flats who are truly epitomize the notions hospitality, warmth, and tireless imagination!

Patrons of the restaurant can now take added pleasure in an enhanced dining experience, one that pairs the gastronomical artistry of Flats with original artwork from my studio. Starting in late November, a collection of my work will go on display and be for sale on a rotational basis through 2011.

"We at Flats look at this as a win-win-win relationship", says Jennifer. "Our customers win by having a much-enhanced dining area to complement their dining experience; Flats wins by supporting a phenomenal local talent, and Yvette wins by having a lovely location in which to properly showcase her beautiful forms of expression".

I couldn't agree more.
